Another way of not only getting rid of, but upsetting telemarketers might be that after answering their call you just tell them to hold the line for a second and you bugger off. On the other hand I have sympathy for those poor guys making these calls, they are just doing their job. It is the companies who should change their policies and not call people who did not ask for it.
